The Newfoundland Women’s Fertility Test checks your AMH levels, providing valuable insights into your ovarian reserve – the number of eggs you may have left – all from the comfort of your own home.
Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH) is a substance produced by the small follicles in your ovaries. The level of AMH in your blood gives an indication of your ovarian reserve.
- Highest in your early 20s.
- Gradual decline begins in the late 20s to early 30s.
- Sharper drop from mid-30s.
- Very low by the 40s, approaching menopause.
Fertility planning - Helping you understand your likely response to fertility treatment such as IVF.
Family planning decisions - Giving information if you are considering delaying pregnancy.
Medical assessment - Aiding healthcare professionals in investigating causes of irregular cycles or other reproductive health concerns.
High AMH
May suggest a larger egg reserve. Sometimes linked to polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
Average AMH
Typically reflects an expected ovarian reserve for your age.
Low AMH
May indicate fewer remaining eggs and a reduced ovarian reserve.
Not a diagnosis - Testosterone results alone cannot confirm a medical condition. They should be considered alongside symptoms and other medical investigations.
Lifestyle factors - Stress, diet, alcohol, sleep, and exercise can all affect testosterone levels.
Age and health history matter - Results should be interpreted in the context of your overall health.
Seek medical guidance - If you experience persistent symptoms or are undergoing treatment for hormone-related conditions, discuss your results with a healthcare professional.
